Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and a switch assembly in which a contact switch can be normally pushed irrespective of the press position to a press target member.SOLUTION: A portable terminal has a switch assembly, and a housing in which the switch assembly is mounted. The switch assembly has a base material, a contact switch fixed to the base material, and an elastic cover. The elastic cover has a cylindrical portion which is secured to the base material so as to surround the contact switch, a flexible planar portion extending from an inner surface of the cylindrical portion which confronts the periphery of the contact switch, and a rising portion which rises from the planar portion along the inner surface of the cylindrical portion. The elastic cover is provided to the tip of the rising portion, and has a plate-like portion for supporting a press target member for pushing the contact switch under the state that the contact switch and the press target member are confronted to each other. The elastic cover has a protrusion portion which protrudes from the rising portion to the inner surface of the cylindrical portion, and abuts against the planar portion when planar portion elastically sags in the direction to the rising portion interlockingly with movement of the press target member to the contact switch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】被押圧部材に対する押圧の位置に関わらず接点スイッチを正常に押圧すること。【解決手段】携帯端末は、スイッチアセンブリと、スイッチアセンブリを収容する筐体とを備える。スイッチアセンブリは、基材と、基材に固定される接点スイッチと、弾性カバーとを備える。弾性カバーは、接点スイッチの周囲を囲むように基材に取り付けられた筒状部と、筒状部の接点スイッチの周囲と対向する内面から延出する可撓性の面状部と、筒状部の内面に沿って面状部から立ち上がる立ち上がり部とを有する。また、弾性カバーは、立ち上がり部の先端に設けられ、接点スイッチと、接点スイッチを押下するための被押圧部材とを対向させた状態で被押圧部材を支持する板状部を有する。また、弾性カバーは、立ち上がり部から筒状部の内面に向けて突出し、被押圧部材の接点スイッチの方向への移動に連動して面状部が立ち上がり部の方向へ弾性的に撓む場合に、面状部に当接する突起部を有する。【選択図】図3
