Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous pigment dispersion of C.I.pigment yellow 74 that can produce, in high production efficiency, an aqueous pigment dispersion having a pigment of an extremely fine particle size dispersed therein so that an ink composition for inkjet recording prepared by using the dispersion as a main component can give an image having excellent gloss and color development.SOLUTION: The method for producing an aqueous pigment dispersion for inkjet recording has a kneading step of kneading a mixture containing a pigment, a styrene/acrylic acid copolymer, a humectant and a basic compound to prepare a colored kneaded product which is solid at normal temperature and a mixing step of adding an aqueous medium to the colored kneaded product and stirring. The pigment is C.I.pigment yellow 74 and in the kneading step, 15 to 50 mass% of water based on the pigment is added.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】極めて微小粒径に分散した水性顔料分散液を高い製造効率で得ることができ、該分散液を主成分として作製したインクジェット記録用インク組成物が、優れた光沢と発色を有する画像を与えることが可能な、C.I.ピグメントイエロー74の水性顔料分散液の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】顔料、スチレンアクリル酸系共重合体、湿潤剤、及び塩基性化合物を含有する混合物を混練して、常温で固形の着色混練物を作製する混練工程と、前記着色混練物に水性媒体を添加し撹拌する混合工程を有するインクジェット記録用水性顔料分散液の製造方法であって、前記顔料はC.I.ピグメントイエロー74であり、前記混練工程においては顔料に対して15〜50質量%の水を添加することを特徴とするインクジェット記録用水性顔料分散液の製造方法。【選択図】 図1
