VEHICLE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle automatic transmission which can improve mountability to a vehicle by reducing a dimension of the automatic transmission in a height direction.SOLUTION: In an automatic transmission 2, a sensor 48 is arranged at a sidewall 2a of a transmission case 2A while opposing a first speed counter gear which is the closest to a clutch on an axial line of a counter shaft, and attached to the sidewall 2a at the same side as that of the transmission case 2A of a shift unit 35. The shift unit 35 is arranged at a side opposite to the clutch with the sensor 48 sandwiched, a box body 36 is inclined so that one end part 36b of a bottom part 36A of the box body 36 in an axial line direction at the sensor 48 side is separated from the sensor 48 from above with respect to the other end part 36c of the bottom part 36A in the axial line direction of an input shaft, and an accumulator 44 is arranged in a space between the bottom part 36A of the box body 36 and the sensor 48.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】自動変速機の高さ方向の寸法を小さくして、車両に対する搭載性を向上できる車両用自動変速機を提供する。【解決手段】自動変速機２によれば、カウンタ軸の軸線上でクラッチに最も近い１速カウンタギヤに対向して変速機ケース２Ａの側壁２ａにセンサ４８が設けられ、シフトユニット３５と変速機ケース２Ａの同一側の側壁２ａに取付け、かつ、シフトユニット３５を、センサ４８を挟んでクラッチと反対側に設置し、入力軸の軸線方向において、筐体３６の底部３６Ａのセンサ４８側の軸線方向一端部３６ｂが底部３６Ａの軸線方向他端部３６ｃに対してセンサ４８から上方に離れるように筐体３６を傾斜させ、筐体３６の底部３６Ａとセンサ４８との間の空間にアキュムレータ４４を設置する。【選択図】図１
