INFORMATION GATHERING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a POS system that is intended for automatic vending machines by storing specific data on the individual automatic vending machines, such as sales quantities of beverage commodities and the like, shortages of items, shortages of changes, alert notice of malfunctions and troubles in a home server from the automatic vending machines at desired timing.SOLUTION: An information gathering system gathers specific data such as sales quantities from automatic vending machines via a public communication line. In the system, a communication terminal device is connected with a control device in an automatic vending machine, transmits a command signal to obtain the specific data to the control device, and thereby information corresponding to the command signal is gathered from the automatic vending machine. A data management center sets a command signal giving an instruction on necessary data gathering in advance to the communication terminal device provided in the automatic vending machine, and the communication terminal device transmits the command signal to the automatic vending machine, and the specific data such as sales quantities is made obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】飲料商品などの販売数量、欠品の有無、釣銭切れ、故障・不具合に関するアラート報知などの個々の自動販売機の固有データを、希望するタイミングで自動販売機からホームサーバへ蓄積することができるようにして自動販売機を対象とするＰＯＳシステムの構築を実現できるようにする。【解決手段】公衆通信回線を介して自動販売機から販売数量などの固有データを収集する情報収集システムであり、自動販売機の制御装置に通信端末装置を接続し、前記制御装置に前記固有データを取得するためのコマンド信号を通知して自動販売機から前記コマンド信号に対応する情報を収集するシステムにおいて、必要とするデータの収集を指示するコマンド信号をデータ管理センターから自動販売機に付設した通信端末装置に予め設定しておき、該通信端末装置が前記コマンド信号を自動販売機へ送信して販売数量などの固有データが得られるようにする。【選択図】図１
