PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control apparatus capable of increasing braking-force of a wheel to target braking-force reliably while preventing stopping of automatic brake control caused by an erroneous operation of an accelerator pedal or brake pedal at a vehicular collision.SOLUTION: A vehicle control apparatus 10 includes an automatic brake control part 52 for automatically performing automatic brake control to generate braking-force in a wheel 14 independently of a brake operation when a vehicle collides, and stopping the automatic brake control on the basis of an operation on an accelerator pedal 34 or brake pedal 36. Even in the case of the accelerator pedal 34 or brake pedal 36 being operated at a vehicular collision, the automatic brake control part 52 continues the automatic brake control until the braking force reaches target braking-force. 【課題】車両衝突時のアクセルペダル又はブレーキペダルの誤操作による自動ブレーキ制御の停止を回避しつつ車輪の制動力を目標制動力まで確実に上昇させることができる車両制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両制御装置１０は、車両衝突時にブレーキ操作に依存することなく自動的に車輪１４に制動力を発生させる自動ブレーキ制御を行い、アクセルペダル３４又はブレーキペダル３６の操作に基づいて自動ブレーキ制御を停止する自動ブレーキ制御部５２を備える。自動ブレーキ制御部５２は、車両衝突時にアクセルペダル３４又はブレーキペダル３６が操作された場合であっても制動力が目標制動力に達するまで自動ブレーキ制御を継続する。【選択図】図１
