Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining structure that can be simply and inexpensively constructed and that has high reliability, and a construction method for the earth retaining structure.SOLUTION: An earth retaining structure 1 includes an outer peripheral diaphragm wall 3 that surrounds a vertical pile 2, and an inner peripheral diaphragm wall 4 that is formed along an inner surface of the outer peripheral diaphragm wall 3. A lower end of the outer peripheral diaphragm wall 3 reaches an impervious layer Gc deeper than a leveling work surface 2a of the vertical shaft 2. A lower end of the inner peripheral diaphragm wall 4 is embedded to a position deeper than the leveling work surface 2a and shallower than the lower end of the outer peripheral diaphragm wall 3.
