METHOD FOR GENERATING PREDICTED IMAGE OF MOVING IMAGE AND DECODING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing accumulation of rounding errors caused by bilinear interpolation processing performed in motion compensation, in an image encoding method in which intensity values of luminance or color difference are quantized as integers.SOLUTION: In relation to P frames used for unidirectional motion compensation prediction, two kinds of the P frames such as P+ frames 503 and 507 for rounding up a value obtained by adding 0.5 to an integer, and P- frames 505 and 509 for rounding down a value obtained by adding 0.5 to an integer are prepared. 【課題】輝度または色差の強度値が整数に量子化される画像符号化方法において、動き補償において行われる共１次内挿の処理によって発生する丸め込み誤差の蓄積を防ぐ方法を提供する。【解決手段】片方向の動き補償予測を行うＰフレームに関し、整数に0.5を加えた値を切り上げるＰ＋フレーム５０３、５０７と、整数に0.5を加えた値を切り捨てるＰ−フレーム５０５、５０９の２種類を用意する。【選択図】図５
