Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a killing method for foaming, which can prevent slopping reliably even when a small-volume converter type refining vessel is used as a refining vessel.SOLUTION: A killing method for foaming is for killing foaming which occurs because gas bubbles generated in a step of oxidation refining of molten iron stays in slag and expands the volume of the slag and includes a source of water vapor which forms gas bubble removal pores by applying an impact force to the surface layer part of the slag during oxidation refining. 【課題】精錬容器として容積が小さい転炉型の精錬容器を用いる場合であっても、確実にスロッピングを防止することができるフォーミング鎮静方法を提供すること。【解決手段】溶銑の酸化精錬工程において発生するガス気泡がスラグ中に滞留し、スラグの体積を膨張させて生じるフォーミングを鎮静するフォーミング鎮静方法であって、酸化精錬中にスラグ表層部に衝撃力を与えてガス気泡抜気孔を形成する水蒸気の発生源を有する。【選択図】図1
