SOUND IMAGE LOCALIZATION CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility that a driver grasps erroneously a traffic situation, in a technology for localizing a sound image so that a relative position of an obstacle in the rear of a vehicle to own vehicle is detected, and that a sound can be heard from the relative position by a driver of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A relative position of an obstacle 20 in the rear of a vehicle 10 to the vehicle 10 is detected, and an exaggerated relative position is calculated from the detected relative position so that the azimuth of the obstacle 20 based on the right behind direction of the vehicle 10 is increased, and a sound image is localized so that a sound can be heard from the exaggerated relative position by a driver of the vehicle by controlling a sound image presentation device for localizing the sound image. 【課題】車両の後方の障害物の自車両に対する相対位置を検出し、車両のドライバーにとって上記相対位置から音が聞こえるように音像を定位させる技術において、ドライバーが交通状況を誤って把握してしまう可能性を低減する。【解決手段】車両１０の後方の障害物２０の車両１０に対する相対位置を検出し、車両１０の真後ろ方向を基準とした障害物２０の方位 ０が増大するよう、検出した相対位置から誇張後相対位置を算出し、音像を定位させる音像提示装置を制御して、車両のドライバにとって誇張後相対位置から音が聞こえるように音像を定位させる。【選択図】図５
