PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array device for efficiently loading different kinds of recording mediums.SOLUTION: A disk array device 70 uses an FMD canister 100 which holds, at the same position to an arrangement position of a common connector of a base substrate, a canister connector being connected with a connection terminal of a stored flash module 10 and used for connecting the canister connector to the common connector, and an HDD canister 200 which holds a connection terminal of a stored HDD 30 at the same position to the arrangement position of the common connector of the base substrate, and has a same appearance shape as the FMD canister 100; and loads the HDD 30 and a flash module 10 having different shape to each other while mixing them. 【課題】効率的に異種記録媒体を搭載するディスクアレイ装置の提供。【解決手段】収納したフラッシュモジュール１０の接続端子に接続されてベース基板の共通コネクタに接続するためのキャニスタコネクタを共通コネクタの配置と同位置に保つＦＭＤキャニスタ１００と、収納したＨＤＤ３０の接続端子をベース基板の共通コネクタの配置と同位置に保し且つＦＭＤキャニスタ１００と同一外形状のＨＤＤキャニスタ２００とを用い、形状が異なるＨＤＤ３０とフラッシュモジュール１０を混在して搭載するディスクアレイ装置７０。【選択図】図２
