PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system for surgery capable of safely and reliably performing operations such as surgeries.SOLUTION: A manual management system S includes a recording unit 6 for gathering manuals to be referred to by persons who are engaged in operations associated with surgeries. The system notifies a presence of a manual at a presence notification timing when the presence of the manual should be notified in accordance with the progress of a surgery and obtains a timing when the manual itself in response to the presence notification timing is actually displayed. Then, the obtained timing is compared with the presence notification timing in response to the displayed manual, and, based on the results of the comparison, next or later display modes associated with the manual are controlled. 【課題】手術等の業務を安全且つ確実に実行することが可能な手術用情報処理システムを提供する。【解決手段】手術等に関連する業務の従事者が参照すべきマニュアルを蓄積する記録部６を備えるマニュアル管理システムＳにおいて、手術の進行に応じてマニュアルの存在を告知すべき存在告知タイミングにおいて当該存在を告知すると共に、その存在告知タイミングに対応するマニュアル自体が実際に表示されたタイミングを取得する。そして、当該取得したタイミングと、表示されたマニュアルに対応した存在告知タイミングと、を比較し、その比較結果に基づいて、そのマニュアルについての次回以降の表示の態様を制御する。【選択図】図１
