PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeating device capable of suppressing heat generation without stopping a voice communication function.SOLUTION: A home gateway device 100 interposed among multiple communication apparatuses and repeating communication includes: multiple communication function sections including a communication function section having a voice call function; a device temperature control section 70 for controlling the operations of the multiple communication function sections; and a temperature sensor 11 for detecting the temperature of the home gateway device 100. When the temperature of the home gateway device 100 exceeds a predetermined threshold X °C, the device temperature control section 70 stops a communication operation of at least one communication function section or reduces the power consumption of the one communication function section other than the communication function section having the voice call function among the multiple communication function sections. 【課題】音声通信機能を停止させることなく発熱を抑制することができる中継装置が望まれていた。【解決手段】複数の通信装置の間に介在し、通信を中継するホームゲートウェイ装置１００であって、音声通話機能を有する通信機能部を含む複数の通信機能部と、複数の通信機能部の動作を制御する装置温度制御部７０と、当該ホームゲートウェイ装置１００の温度を検出する温度センサ１１と、を備え、装置温度制御部７０は、当該ホームゲートウェイ装置１００の温度が所定の閾値Ｘ℃を超える場合、複数の通信機能部のうち、音声通話機能を有する通信機能部以外の通信機能部の少なくとも１つの通信動作を停止又は消費電力を低減させるものである。【選択図】図１
