Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system capable of realizing installation of an electronic settlement function at low costs without impairing merits of a tablet terminal in a configuration using the tablet terminal as a POS terminal, and further to provide a control method of the POS system.SOLUTION: A POS system SY comprises: a card reader 4 reading data; a printer 2 being connected to the card reader 4 and inputting the data from the card reader 4; and a tablet terminal 1 being connected to the printer 2 and having a POS application 52 performing accounting processing, a settlement application 53 performing settlement processing on the basis of the data input to the printer 2 and a control section 110 controlling the POS application 52 and the settlement application 53. 【課題】ＰＯＳ端末としてタブレット端末を用いた構成において、電子決済機能の導入を低コストで、タブレット端末のメリットを損なうことなく実現可能なＰＯＳシステム及びＰＯＳシステムの制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のＰＯＳシステムＳＹは、データを読み取るカードリーダー４と、カードリーダー４と接続され、カードリーダー４からデータを入力するプリンター２と、プリンター２と接続され、会計処理を行うＰＯＳアプリケーション５２、プリンター２に入力されたデータに基づいて決済処理を行う決済アプリケーション５３、並びにＰＯＳアプリケーション５２及び決済アプリケーション５３を制御する制御部１１０、を有するタブレット端末１と、を備えた。【選択図】図３
