WORD LEARNING APPARATUS AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a word learning apparatus allowing a user to learn various meaning corresponding to a word having excellent operability and usability.SOLUTION: English words are sequentially read out from a word book data and displayed responding to an operation made on a [Feed] key 31a. When a "display responding to inclination operation" is selected as a display method, which is set corresponding to an operation made by a user, plural word meanings corresponding to the an English word are assigned in 4 directions; i.e., upper, lower, right and left of the word book body. Also, a word class inclination key guide screen KGh or a word basis inclination key guide screen KGt which indicates plural assignment directions of the word meaning are displayed together with the English word. When the word book body is inclined in a direction according to the inclination key guide screen KG, the meaning assigned to the English word on the display is displayed according to the inclination direction. 【課題】単語学習装置において、単語に対応した様々な語義をユーザの使い勝手や操作性良く学習する。【解決手段】単語帳データから［送り］キー３１ａの操作に応じて順次読み出されて表示される英単語について、ユーザ操作に応じて設定される表示方法として「傾け操作に応じた表示」が設定された場合には、当該英単語に対応する複数の語義がそれぞれ単語帳本体の上下左右の４方向に割り当てられ、同英単語と共にその複数の語義の割り当て方向を示す品詞別傾きガイド画面ＫＧｈや単語別傾きガイド画面ＫＧｔ等が表示される。そして、前記単語帳本体を前記傾きガイド画面ＫＧに従った方向に傾けると、その傾け方向に応じて割り当てられた前記表示中の英単語の語義が表示される。【選択図】図１０
