Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition control device of an engine which can improve the ignitability in a cylinder.SOLUTION: An ignition control ECU is applied to an ignition system which comprises an ignition coil 51 which has a primary winding 51a and a secondary winding 51b, and in which ignition energy is generated at the secondary winding 51b by blocking a primary current of the primary winding 51a, and an ignition plug 40 which makes a gap G between opposing electrodes 41, 42 generate spark discharge by the ignition energy, and ignites fuel in a combustion chamber 11a of an engine. The ignition control ECU acquires a discharge parameter which indicates a discharge waveform of the ignition discharge after the primary current is blocked, sets an electricity-carrying time of the primary winding 51a of the ignition coil 51 on the basis of the acquired discharge parameter, and controls the ignition energy by carrying electricity to the primary winding 51a at a set electricity-carrying time. 【課題】気筒における着火性を改善できるエンジンの点火制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】1次巻線51a及び2次巻線51bを備え、1次巻線51aの1次電流を遮断することにより2次巻線51bに点火エネルギが発生される点火コイル51と、対向電極41,42間のギャップGに点火エネルギにより火花放電を発生させ、エンジンの燃焼室11a内で燃料を着火する点火プラグ40と、を備える点火システムに適用される点火制御ECUは、1次電流の遮断後における火花放電の放電波形を示す放電パラメータを取得し、取得した放電パラメータに基づいて、点火コイル51の1次巻線51aの通電時間を設定するとともに、設定された通電時間で1次巻線51aを通電して点火エネルギを制御する。【選択図】 図9
