PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting work for setting a pressing amount for pressing a rack shaft to a pinion shaft.SOLUTION: A steering device comprises: a guide body part 61 for supporting a rack shaft so that connection between the rack shaft and pinion shaft is maintained; a coil spring 63 for energizing the guide body part 61 toward the rack shaft 24; a guide housing 17A for storing at least the guide body part 61 and the coil spring 63; and a rack guide screw 70 disposed so as to move in progress and retreat directions in which it progresses and retreats to the coil spring 63, and pressing the coil spring 63 to the guide body part 61. The rack guide screw 70 comprises: an outside screw part 71 held by the guide housing 17A, and rotating for moving in the progress and retreat directions; and an inside screw part 72 in contact with the coil spring 63, disposed in a radial direction of the outside screw part 71 rotatably to the outside screw part 71, and rotating for moving in the progress and retreat directions. 【課題】ラック軸をピニオン軸に向けて押し付ける押付量の設定作業を容易にする。【解決手段】ステアリング装置は、ラック軸とピニオン軸との接続を維持させるようにラック軸を支持するガイド本体部６１と、ガイド本体部６１をラック軸２４に向けて付勢するコイルバネ６３と、少なくともガイド本体部６１およびコイルバネ６３を収容するガイドハウジング１７Ａと、コイルバネ６３に対して進退する進退方向に移動可能に設けられ、コイルバネ６３をガイド本体部６１に押し付けるラックガイドスクリュ７０とを備える。そして、ラックガイドスクリュ７０は、ガイドハウジング１７Ａに保持されるとともに、回転することによって進退方向に移動する外側ネジ部７１と、コイルバネ６３に接触し、外側ネジ部７１に対して回転可能に外側ネジ部７１の径方向に設けられ、回転することによって進退方向に移動する内側ネジ部７２とを有する。【選択図】図６
