The saccharide-containing raw material is preferred to be a raw material which contains hydroxyacetone. 【課題】微生物を用いて有機化合物を生産する際、特に、当該有機化合物が高濃度に蓄積した条件下において生産速度を向上させ、有機化合物を効率よく製造する方法を提供すること。【解決手段】有機化合物生産能を有する微生物またはその処理物を、水性媒体中、ヒドロキシアセトンの存在下で、糖類含有原料に作用させることにより有機化合物を生産させる工程(以下、「発酵工程」という)を有することを特徴とする、有機化合物の製造方法。前記糖類含有原料が、ヒドロキシアセトンを含有する原料であることが好ましい。【選択図】図1
