MOVING VELOCITY PREDICTION DEVICE AND MOVING VELOCITY PREDICTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving velocity prediction device and a moving velocity prediction method capable of appropriately predicting a moving velocity even on a road for which moving velocities are insufficiently accumulated.SOLUTION: A moving velocity prediction device for predicting a moving velocity of a movable body comprises: a data holding unit 180 holding environmental information and a moving velocity and a time zone of each road in map information; a target-road identification unit 140 identifying a prediction target road associated for predicting the moving velocity; an area setting unit 120 dividing a map into a plurality of areas; a velocity similarity calculation unit 161 calculating velocity similarities between the moving velocity on the target road and moving velocities on the plurality of areas, respectively; an environmental similarity calculation unit 162 calculating environmental similarities between the environmental information on the area including the target road and the environmental information on the plurality of regions, respectively; and a moving velocity acquisition unit 150 calculating total similarities on the basis of the velocity similarities and the environmental similarities, respectively, and predicting the moving velocity associated with a selected area selected on the basis of the total similarities as the moving velocity on the target road. 【課題】移動速度の蓄積が不十分な道路であれ、移動速度の予測を好適に行うことのできる移動速度予測装置及び移動速度予測方法を提供する。【解決手段】移動体の移動速度を予測する移動速度予測装置は、地図情報中の環境情報と道路の移動速度及び時間帯とを保持するデータ保持部１８０と、移動速度の予測対象道路を特定する対象道路特定部１４０と、地図を複数の領域に分割する領域設定部１２０と、対象道路と複数の領域とのそれぞれの移動速度の速度類似度をそれぞれ算出する速度類似度算出部１６１と、対象道路を含む領域と複数の領域とのそれぞれの環境情報の環境類似度をそれぞれ算出する環境類似度算出部１６２と、速度類似度と環境類似度とに基づいて総類似度をそれぞれ算出するとともに、総類似度に基づいて選択する選択領域に関連付けられている移動速度を対象道路の移動速度として予測する移動速度取得部１５０とを備える。【選択図】図１
