Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing overheating of a drive motor in an electric vehicle, which includes determining driving conditions of the traction motor in consideration of magnitude of a load and a time for which a load is applied.SOLUTION: A method for preventing overheating of a drive motor in an electric vehicle includes identifying magnitude of an output load of the motor, identifying a loading time of the motor on the basis of the identified magnitude of the output load, comparing the identified loading time to a preset critical time, and controlling output torque of the motor according to the comparison result. 【課題】本発明は、負荷の大きさ及び負荷がかかった時間を考慮して駆動モータの駆動条件を決定するようにした電気自動車の駆動モータの過熱防止方法を提供する。【解決手段】実施例による電気自動車の駆動モータの過熱防止方法は、モータの出力負荷の大きさを確認するステップと、前記確認した出力負荷の大きさを基準に前記モータの負荷時間を確認するステップと、前記確認した負荷時間と予め設定した臨界時間を比較するステップと、前記比較結果に応じてモータの出力トルクを制御するステップと、を含む。【選択図】図８
