PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening device that includes a sliding door capable of freely sliding up and down along vertical materials and facilitates maintenance on the sliding door.SOLUTION: There is provided an opening device 1 including a frame body 2 formed of vertical materials and horizontal materials, and a mullion 3 as a vertical material has a mullion body part 31 and a mullion side holding part 32 which is provided on an outdoor side of the mullion body part 31 and has grooves 322a, 323a where a left frame 83 of the sliding door 8 is inserted and held to freely slide up and down.
