Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for hydrogenating an unsaturated bicyclic compound oligomer, in each of which a hydrogenated material of the unsaturated bicyclic compound oligomer, which product has high usefulness as a fluid for traction drive, can be produced efficiently at a high hydrogenation conversion ratio and at a high composition ratio (a high isomer composition ratio).SOLUTION: The method for hydrogenating the unsaturated bicyclic compound oligomer in a reactor packed with a hydrogenation catalyst comprises the steps of: arranging three or more reactors each being packed with the hydrogenation catalyst in series; keeping the temperature of a fluid in an inlet part of the downstream-side reactor higher than that of the fluid in another inlet part of the upstream-side reactor; and keeping temperature difference Tbof another fluid between the inlet part of the lowermost stream-side reactor and the outlet part thereof smaller than another temperature difference Taof a different fluid between the inlet part of the uppermost stream-side reactor and the outlet part thereof so that difference between Tband Tabecomes 10°C or higher. 【課題】トラクションドライブ用流体として有用性の高い不飽和ビシクロ化合物オリゴマー水素化物の製造に際し、不飽和ビシクロ化合物オリゴマー水素化物を高い水素化転化率で、かつ高い組成比(高異性体組成比)で効率よく製造しうる不飽和ビシクロ化合物オリゴマーの水素化方法及び水素化装置を提供する。【解決手段】水素化触媒を充填した反応器で不飽和ビシクロ化合物オリゴマーの水素化を行う方法であって、水素化触媒を充填した反応器を3基以上直列に配し、下流の反応器の入口部の流体温度をその上流の反応器の入口部流体温度より高くし、かつ最下流の反応器の入口部と出口部の流体温度の差 Tb0を、最上流の反応器の入口部と出口部の流体温度の差 Ta0よりも小さくし10℃以上とする不飽和ビシクロ化合物オリゴマーの水素化方法及び重合装置。【選択図】図1
