Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotary electric machine capable of efficiently realizing a reduction in size and high output.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet type rotary electric machine of an embodiment has a stator and a rotor. The stator has a stator core about which armature coils are wound. The rotor is provided in a rotatable manner with respect to the stator and has a rotor core formed with a plurality of rotor magnetic poles on a peripheral surface facing the stator core in a radial direction. The rotor core has: a plurality of permanent magnet holding cavity portions; bridge sections; and non-magnetic path sections. The plurality of permanent magnet holding cavity portions are formed such that permanent magnets can be embedded, and each pair of the plurality of permanent magnet holding cavity portions are formed for each one rotor magnetic pole such that the plurality of rotor magnetic poles are individually configured with pairs of permanent magnets. The bridge sections are formed among pairs of permanent magnet holding cavity portions corresponding to individual rotor magnetic poles. The non-magnetic path sections are provided at an inside of the radial direction of the rotor core in the bridge sections and in a region where magnetic flux due to the permanent magnets is saturated, and formation of a magnetic path is blocked. 【課題】効率よく小型・高出力化が図れる永久磁石式回転電機を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態の永久磁石式回転電機は、固定子と、回転子と、を持つ。固定子は、電機子巻線が巻装された固定子鉄心を持つ。回転子は、固定子に対して回転自在に設けられ、固定子鉄心と径方向で対向する周面に複数の回転子磁極が形成された回転子鉄心を持つ。回転子鉄心は、複数の永久磁石保持空洞部と、ブリッジ部と、非磁路部と、を持つ。複数の永久磁石保持空洞部は、永久磁石を埋め込み可能なように形成され、かつ複数の回転子磁極をそれぞれ一対の永久磁石で構成するように、1極の回転子磁極につき一対ずつ形成されている。ブリッジ部は、各回転子磁極に対応する一対の永久磁石保持空洞部間に形成されている。非磁路部は、ブリッジ部における回転子鉄心の径方向内側で、かつ永久磁石による磁束が飽和する領域に設けられ、磁路の形成が阻害される。【選択図】図1
