Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely stop an elasto-plastic damper, which has shear deformation on receiving shear force in an in-plane direction when mutually separated structure members are relatively displaced, from plastically deforming exceeding a certain quantity.SOLUTION: Shear deformation limiting devices 4, 5 for an elasto-plastic damper include a plastic deformation part 31 capable of shear yielding with in-plane shear force in relative displacement between structural members 1, 2, and joint parts 32, 33 located on both sides of the plastic deformation part 31 in a direction perpendicular to a shear force acting direction and joined to the structural members 1, 2, and are each composed, between both the joint parts 32, 33, of one engagement member 41, 51 accommodated in a gap 34, 35 of an elasto-plastic damper 3 having a gap 34, 35 in the direction perpendicular to the shear force acting direction and joined to one structural member 1 and the other engagement member 42, 52 accommodated in the gap 34, 35 and joined to the other structural member 2. A distance in the shear force acting direction is normally secured between the one engagement member 41, 51 and the other engagement member 42, 52, and both the structural members 1, 2 are engaged with each other in relative displacement between both. 【課題】互いに分離した構造部材間の相対変位時に面内方向のせん断力を受けてせん断変形する弾塑性ダンパーの一定量を超える塑性変形を確実に阻止する。【解決手段】構造部材1、2間の相対変位時に面内せん断力によりせん断降伏し得る塑性変形部31と、せん断力作用方向に垂直な方向の、塑性変形部31の両側に位置し、各構造部材1、2に接合される接合部32、33を備え、両接合部32、33間に、せん断力作用方向に垂直な方向に空隙34、35を有する弾塑性ダンパー3の空隙34、35内に納まり、一方の構造部材1に接合される一方の係合部材41、51と、空隙34、35内に納まり、他方の構造部材2に接合される他方の係合部材42、52からせん断変形制限装置4、5を構成し、一方の係合部材41、51と他方の係合部材42、52間に平常時にせん断力作用方向に距離を確保し、両構造部材1、2間の相対変位時に両者を互いに係合させる。【選択図】図1
