Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing active carbon having a low metal content by activating granular carbide of cellulose acetate.SOLUTION: Regarding the method for producing active carbon, in an external heat type rotary kiln including: a heat resistant cylindrical body 13; hoods 14, 15 on both the edge parts thereof; a feed port 16 for the granular carbide of cellulose acerate provided at the hood 14; and an exhaust passage 17 for the activation-treated granular carbide provided at the hood 15, the granular carbide fed to the heat resistant cylindrical body via the feed port are heated in the presence of an activation gas so as to be activated, and are then exhausted via the exhaust passage, the activation is performed using water vapor as the activation gas and also using the heat resistant cylindrical body 13 in which at least the inside surface is formed from a ceramic material, and the exhaust of the granular carbide is performed using the hood 15 in which at least the exhaust passage and the surface region including the surrounding of the exhaust port are formed from a ceramic material.
【課題】酢酸セルロースの粒子状炭化物を賦活して低金属含有量の活性炭を製造する方法を提供すること。【解決手段】耐熱性円筒体13、その両端部のフード14、15、フード14に備えられた酢酸セルロースの粒子状炭化物の供給口16、そしてフード15に備えられた賦活処理済の粒子状炭化物の排出通路17を含む外熱式ロータリーキルンの上記耐熱性円筒体に上記供給口を介して供給した粒子状炭化物を、賦活ガスの存在下に加熱することにより賦活し、次いで上記排出通路を介して排出することを含む活性炭の製造方法であって、上記の賦活を、上記賦活ガスとして水蒸気を用い、かつ少なくとも内側表面がセラミック材料から形成された耐熱性円筒体13を用いて行なうこと、そして上記の粒子状炭化物の排出を、少なくとも上記排出通路及びその排出口の周囲を含む表面領域がセラミック材料から形成されたフード15を用いて行なう活性炭の製造方法。【選択図】図1 |
