Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adhesive for joining a drive element substrate to a protective substrate from flowing in the driving portion of the drive element substrate in a droplet discharge head.SOLUTION: In a droplet discharge head, a drive element substrate 112 and a protective substrate 113 are joined via an adhesive 125. The drive element substrate 112 has the joint portion 126 of a drive element substrate side at which the joint portion 113a of a protective substrate side of the protective substrate 113 is joined to the surface facing the protective substrate 113. The joint portion 126 has an adhesive application area 126a scheduled for application of the adhesive 125 and a non-application area 126b unscheduled for application of the adhesive 125. Besides, the joint portion 126 has the variation point of surface property on the boundary between the adhesive application area 126a and the non-application area 126b.
