Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float glass manufacturing apparatus and a float glass manufacturing method that can suppress a local decrease of the width-directional temperature distribution of a glass ribbon between a molding device and a slow cooling device.SOLUTION: A float glass manufacturing apparatus includes a temperature adjusting device which adjusts the temperature of a glass ribbon G between a molding device and a slow cooling device, and the temperature adjusting device has a plurality of heater groups 51, 52 comprising a plurality of heaters 51a to 51g, 52a to 52g arranged along a width of the glass ribbon G. The heaters 51a to 51g, 52a to 52g in the heater groups 51, 52 are controlled by zones Z11 to Z17, Z21 to Z27 arrayed along the width of the glass ribbon G, and the heater groups 51, 52 are arranged on opposite sides across the glass ribbon G, mutual borders of the upper-side zones Z11 to Z17 and mutual borders of the lower-side zones Z21 to Z27 being shifted at at least one place along the width of the glass ribbon G. 【課題】成形装置と徐冷装置との間におけるガラスリボンの幅方向の温度分布の局所的な低下を抑制できる、フロートガラス製造装置を提供する。【解決手段】成形装置と徐冷装置との間においてガラスリボンGの温度を調整する温度調整装置を備え、前記温度調整装置は、前記ガラスリボンGの幅方向に並ぶ複数のヒータ51a〜51g,52a〜52gからなるヒータ群51,52を複数有し、各前記ヒータ群51,52の複数のヒータ51a〜51g,52a〜52gは、前記ガラスリボンGの幅方向に並ぶゾーンZ11〜Z17,Z21〜Z27毎に制御され、前記複数のヒータ群51,52は、前記ガラスリボンGを挟んで反対側に配設され、上側の前記ゾーンZ11〜Z17同士の境界と下側の前記ゾーンZ21〜Z27同士の境界とを少なくとも1箇所で前記ガラスリボンGの幅方向にずらして配設される、フロートガラス製造装置。【選択図】図2
