Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a developing apparatus in which a casing member is easy to assemble without becoming large in size and reduces a problem that toner accumulates on the casing member, and at the same time a problem is reduced that the toner scatters through an opening in the vicinity of a developing area; a process cartridge; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A seal member 23j is installed so that tips 23j4 and 23j5 thereof come into contact with a position upstream of a developing area in a moving direction of a photoreceptor drum 21 (image carrier). At least the tip 23j4 (image area tip) in contact with the whole area of an image area M and a surface layer 23j1 facing a developing roller 23a (developer carrier) are formed of an insulating material. An intermediate layer 23j2 faces the developing roller 23a via the surface layer 23j1, and is formed of a conductive material. The intermediate layer 23j2 (non-image area tip 23j5) is formed in contact with a part or the whole of a non-image area N of the photoreceptor drum 21.
【課題】ケーシング部材が大型化してしまうことなく、組み付け性が比較的良好で、ケーシング部材にトナーが溜まる不具合が軽減されるとともに、現像領域の近傍の開口からトナーが飛散する不具合が軽減される、現像装置、プロセスカートリッジ、及び、画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】シール部材23jは、その先端部23j4、23j5が現像領域に対して感光体ドラム21(像担持体)の走行方向上流側の位置に接触するように設置されて、少なくとも画像領域Mの全域に接触する先端部23j4(画像領域先端部)と現像ローラ23a(現像剤担持体)に対向する表面層23j1とが絶縁性材料で形成されて、表面層23j1を介して現像ローラ23aに対向するとともに導電性材料で形成された中間層23j2を具備して、中間層23j2(非画像領域先端部23j5)が感光体ドラム21の非画像領域Nの一部又は全部に接触するように形成されている。【選択図】図4 |
