Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel hydrogen conversion and storage material that can prevent a hydrogen explosion due to hydrogen leakage in nuclear power installations and hydrogen stations, etc.SOLUTION: Provided is: a fact that metal peroxide or metal oxide that produces hydroxide or that is reduced to metal without producing hydroxide by the reaction with hydrogen, can be utilized as a hydrogen conversion material; and a hydrogen conversion material containing metal peroxide in which the metal peroxide is selected from alkali metal, Group 2 metal, Mg, Ni and Ag. 【課題】原子力発電設備や水素ステーション等において水素漏洩による水素爆発を防止することができる新たな水素変換吸蔵材料の提供。【解決手段】水素との反応により、水酸化物を生成したり、水酸化物を生成せずに金属まで還元される金属過酸化物や金属酸化物を水素変換材料として適用することができる。金属過酸化物が、アルカリ金属、2族金属、Mg、Ni及びAgから選ばれる金属過酸化物を含有する水素変換材料。【選択図】図1
