WEATHER STRIP ATTACHED TO VEHICLE HOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip which is attached to the rear face of an engine hood in an opening of the engine hood of a vehicle or the like, and reduces air resistance during travelling of the vehicle or the like, and in which waterproof and dust-proof functions are improved.SOLUTION: A weather strip 9 is constituted of a hollow seal body which has an approximately inverted triangular shape as a whole and is formed of: a bottom part 9A attached to the rear face 8a of an engine hood; a first side part 9B which comes in contact with a vehicle body 11 with one end P5 of the bottom part 9A as a base point; a second side part 9C which comes in contact with the vehicle 11 with the other end P6 of the bottom part 9A as a base point; and a bridge part 9D which is installed substantially in parallel with a second side part 9C and in the middle position of the hollow portion of the hollow seal body. The hollow portion is formed of a first hollow part 9E and a second hollow part 9F via the bridge part 9D. The bottom part 9A, first side part 9B, second side part 9C, and bridge part 9d extend in their lengthwise direction, i.e., the right and left width direction of the engine hood 8 and the lengthwise direction of the engine hood 8. 【課題】自動車等のエンジンフードの開口部に於いて、エンジンフードの裏面に装着し、自動車等の走行時の空気抵抗を低減させると共に、防水・防塵機能を向上させるウェザーストリップを提供する。【解決手段】ウェザーストリップ９は中空シール体で構成され、全体が略逆三角形状でなり、エンジンフードの裏面８ａに取付けられる底辺部９Ａと、底辺部９Ａの一方端Ｐ５を基点とし、車体１１に接触する第１辺部９Ｂと、底辺部９Ａの他方端Ｐ６を基点として、車体１１に接触する第２辺部９Ｃと、第２辺部９Ｃに略並行、かつ中空シール体の中空部分の中間位置に架設した橋架部９Ｄとで成形している。中空部分は第１中空部９Ｅと橋架部９Ｄを介して、第２中空部９Ｆとでなる。底辺部９Ａ、第１辺部９Ｂ、第２辺部９Ｃ及び橋架部９Ｄは長さ方向、つまりエンジンフード８の左・右幅方向、及びエンジンフード８の長さ方向に延在している。【選択図】図２
