An insect processing method of the present invention includes: preparing a drive unit 31 for sucking air, a suction tube 32 connected to the drive unit 31, and a container 33 with the suction tube 32 connected to the bottom face. The container 33 has an insect placing surface 33c of a mesh preventing the passing of the input insects. The movement of the insects placed on the insect placing surface 33c is inhibited by the suction of the drive unit 31. The hot melt adhesives 20 are put on the top wing meeting line 13 of the insects by using a glue gun 40. 【課題】例えばテントウムシのように撥水性がある上翅に対しても飛翔不能とすることができるとともに、再度飛翔させることもできる昆虫を提供し、飛翔不能とした昆虫を用いた生物的防除資材、飛翔不能とする昆虫処理方法、及び飛翔不能とする処理方法に適した昆虫処理装置を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の昆虫は、コウチュウ目の成虫における上翅会合線13を、ホットメルト接着剤20によって固定したことを特徴とし、本発明の昆虫処理方法は、空気を吸い込む駆動部31と、駆動部31に接続された吸引管32と、吸引管32を底面に接続した容器33とを備え、容器33には、投入する昆虫が通過しない網目の昆虫載置面33cを有し、昆虫載置面33cに載置した昆虫の動きを、駆動部31による吸引によって阻止し、グルーガン40を用いて、昆虫の上翅会合線13にホットメルト接着剤20を載せることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図1
