Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotary electric machine capable of improving cooling performance while devising a shape of a magnet insertion hole so that a permanent magnet does not interfere with a duct piece when assembling a rotor.SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotary electric machine includes: a stator 1; a rotor 2 configured by stacking a plurality of rotor iron cores 5 in which magnet insertion holes are formed like a layer shape through gaps by interposing duct pieces between the rotor iron cores 5; and permanent magnets 3 inserted into the magnet insertion holes 4. At least one of the duct pieces is arranged on a line extended from the center of the rotor iron core 5 to the outer peripheral side. The magnet insertion holes 4 are formed on both sides of the duct piece so as to be separated from the duct piece in accordance with extension from the center of the rotor iron core 5 to the outer peripheral side and each of the magnet insertion holes 4 includes an inner peripheral side gap portion arranged so as to be shifted from the duct piece in a peripheral direction of the rotor 2 and having a peripheral direction length wider than the peripheral direction thickness of the permanent magnet 3 in a direction from the inner peripheral side end of the permanent magnet 3 to the duct piece side. 【課題】回転子組み立ての際、永久磁石とダクトピースが干渉しないように磁石挿入孔形状を工夫しつつ、冷却性能を向上させることが出来る永久磁石式回転電機を提供する。【解決手段】固定子1と、磁石挿入孔4が設けられた複数枚の回転子鉄心5が、回転子鉄心5の間にダクトピースを介することで間隙をもって層状に積み上げられた回転子2と、磁石挿入項4に挿入された永久磁石3を備えた永久磁石式回転電機において、ダクトピースの少なくとも一つは回転子鉄心5の中心から外周側に延びる線上に配置され、磁石挿入孔4は、ダクトピースの両側に、回転子鉄心5の中心から外周側に延びるにしたがって、ダクトピースから離れるように形成され、磁石挿入孔4は回転子2の周方向においてダクトピースとずれて配置され、永久磁石3の内周側端からダクトピース側に向かって永久磁石3の周方向厚さより広い周方向長を有する内周側空隙部を備える。【選択図】図1
