Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit influence of a surrounding environment on a portable engine and inhibit clogging of an air vent pipe.SOLUTION: A portable engine 10 includes: an internal combustion engine (an engine body 11); a carburetor 14 which evaporates a fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine; an air vent pipe 19 for allowing a float chamber of the carburetor 14 to communicate with outer air; a case body 15 for storing the internal combustion engine and the air vent pipe 19; and a side cover 15C which covers one side surface of the case body 15. An end part 20 of the air vent pipe 19 is formed in a region (a lower region 15F) in the case body 15 which is covered by the side cover 15C. The region communicates with the outer air. 【課題】周囲環境から受ける影響を抑制し、エアベント管の目詰まりを抑制する。【解決手段】携帯型エンジン１０は、内燃機関（エンジン本体１１）と、内燃機関に供給される燃料を気化するキャブレタ１４と、キャブレタ１４のフロート室を外気に連通させるためのエアベント管１９と、内燃機関及びエアベント管１９を収納するケース本体１５と、ケース本体１５の一側面を覆うサイドカバー１５Ｃと、を備えている。エアベント管１９の端部２０は、ケース本体１５におけるサイドカバー１５Ｃにより覆われた領域（下部領域１５Ｆ）に形成されている。前記領域は外気と連通している。【選択図】図１
