Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stern duct capable of improving a hull efficiency without increasing the resistance to a hull even if a duct body is added to the hull, a method for designing the stern duct, and a ship equipped with the stern duct.SOLUTION: A stern duct is characterized: in that a duct body 11 is formed into a generally arcuate shape of an angular range from 90 degrees to 180 degrees in a stern duct 10 to be attached to the front of a propeller 3 attached to the stern 2 of a hull; and in that the duct body 11 is so attached to the stern 2 by support means 12 that the duct body 11 may be asymmetric to the vertical center line Xv of the propeller 3 while the hull is seen in a front view. 【課題】ダクト本体を船体に付加しても船体の抵抗を増加させることなく船殻効率を改善することができる船尾用ダクト、船尾用ダクトの設計方法、及び船尾用ダクトを装備した船舶を提供すること。【解決手段】船尾用ダクトにおいては、船体の船尾2に取り付けたプロペラ3の前方に取り付けられる船尾用ダクト10において、ダクト本体11を90度から180度の角度範囲の略円弧状に形成し、船体を後方から前方視した状態でプロペラ3の上下方向の中心線Xvに対してダクト本体11が非対称を成すように、ダクト本体11を支持手段12にて船尾2に取り付けたことを特徴とする。【選択図】図9
