PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more convenient video viewing system.SOLUTION: A system includes: a broadcast receiver comprising a reception unit for receiving a broadcast signal transmitted through a broadcast wave; and a wireless terminal comprising a communication I/F for transmitting/receiving information to/from the broadcast receiver directly or through a wireless LAN router. The wireless terminal acquires program-related information on a present program or a program to be broadcast in the future through the broadcast wave from a distribution source differing from the broadcast receiver. The broadcast receiver transmits information on a processing situation or planned processing with respect to the present program or the program to be broadcast in the future through the broadcast wave, to the wireless terminal through the communication I/F. The wireless terminal generates a program guide by using both of the program-related information acquired from the distribution source differing from the broadcast receiver and the information on the processing situation or planned processing of the broadcast receiver acquired from the broadcast receiver through the communication I/F. 【課題】より使い勝手のよい映像視聴システムを提供する。【解決手段】放送波を介して送信される放送信号を受信する受信部を備える放送受信装置と、放送受信装置と無線ＬＡＮルータを介してまたは直接、情報を送受信する通信Ｉ／Ｆを備える無線端末とを含むシステムであって、無線端末は、放送受信装置とは異なる配信元から、放送波を介して現在または将来放送される番組についての番組関連情報を取得する。放送受信装置は、放送波を介して現在または将来放送される番組に対する放送受信装置の処理状況または処理予定の情報を、通信Ｉ／Ｆを介して無線端末へ送信する。無線端末は、放送受信装置とは異なる配信元から取得した番組関連情報と、通信Ｉ／Ｆを介して放送受信装置から取得した放送受信装置の処理状況または処理予定の情報との両者を用いて、番組表を生成する。【選択図】図１（ａ）
