Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable capable of easily taking an optical fiber without requiring a special tool during intermediate point post-branching.SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable includes: an optical fiber storage unit 10; tensile strength bodies 3a and 3b arranged in parallel on both sides of the optical fiber storage unit 10; and a jacket 2 including a coating section 2a for covering the optical fiber storage unit 10 and tensile strength bodies 3a and 3b, and a projection section 2b formed on the coating section 2a. S≥F/α is satisfied. Here, S [mm] is the cross section of the projection section 2b, F [N] is the load required for tearing the jacket 2 from projection stems 21 and 22 to the optical fiber storage unit 10, and α [MPa] is the yield point strength of the jacket 2.
