PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support system capable of further appropriately warning for prompting a driver to visually check an object according to a state of the driver.SOLUTION: The driving support system to be mounted on a vehicle includes: an electroencephalogram acquisition device 61 that acquires an electroencephalogram of a driver; an electroencephalogram calculation ECU 60 that calculates a driver's attention quantity to driving from the electroencephalogram acquired from the electroencephalogram acquisition device 61; and a driving support ECU 10 that, when a position of the vehicle is an intersection area for determining to perform warning to the driver, determines whether or not an object for avoiding contact is present in the intersection area S and, when there is an object in the intersection area S, performs the warning to prompt the driver to visually check the object. 【課題】運転者の状態に応じて対象物の目視確認を促すために警告をより適切に実施できる運転支援システムを提供する。【解決手段】車両に搭載される運転支援システムは、運転者の脳波を取得する脳波取得装置６１と、脳波取得装置６１で取得した脳波から運転者の運転に対する注意量を算出する脳波算出ＥＣＵ６０と、車両の位置が運転者に対する警告の実施判定を行う交差点エリアの際に、当該交差点エリアＳに接触回避のための対象物が存在しているかを判定し、交差点エリアＳに対象物が存在している場合に、注意量に基づいて、運転者が対象物を目視確認することを促すための警告を実施する運転支援ＥＣＵ１０と、を備える。【選択図】 図１
