PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power receiving device and a power supply device which enhance convenience of a user by giving a degree-of-freedom in the arrangement of the power receiving device for the power supply device, and a degree-of-freedom in the arrangement of the power supply device for the power receiving device, and suppress thickening of the apparatus.SOLUTION: A power receiving device 9 has a plurality of surfaces, and includes a power receiving coil L2 internally, and the power receiving coil L2 includes a winding 51 where a conductor is wound, and an opening 52 having two opening ends facing each other, and surrounded by the winding 51. The end face of at least one opening end out of two opening ends is arranged in non-parallel (excepting vertical) with more than one surfaces of the power receiving device 9, and a power receiving region capable of receiving power from a power supply device 11 is formed on more than one surfaces of the power receiving device 9. 【課題】受電装置の給電装置に対する配置の自由度、及び、給電装置の受電装置に対する配置の自由度を持たせることにより使用者の利便性を向上させ、機器の肥大化を抑制せしめる受電装置及び給電装置を提供すること。【解決手段】受電装置９は、複数の表面を有し、内部に受電コイルＬ２を備え、受電コイルＬ２は、導線が巻回された巻線部５１と、巻線部５１によって囲まれた、対向する二つの開口端を有する開口部５２とを含み、二つの開口端のうち少なくとも一つの開口端の端面が、受電装置９の二以上の表面に対して非平行（ただし、垂直を除く）に配置されることによって、受電装置９の二以上の表面に、給電装置１１からの電力を受電可能な受電領域が形成される。【選択図】図１
