Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a water level in a plant raising tank 10 to form a raising environment suitable for raising of plants V, such as root vegetable, while time taken for adjustment of the water level is shortened.SOLUTION: A plant raising apparatus comprises: a plant raising tank 10 into which nutrient liquid is intermittently supplied; a culture medium 40 laid in the plant raising tank 10; and a water level adjustment mechanism 30 which, when a water level in the plant raising tank 10 rises with the supply of the nutrient liquid and the culture medium 40 is immersed in the nutrient liquid, discharges the nutrient liquid after the immersion to lower the water level. The culture medium 40 is formed of a large number of hollow bodies 41 each of which is constituted to have openings in part thereof and the nutrient liquid can enter/go out an internal space through the openings. 【課題】植物育成槽10内の水位を調整して根菜類等の植物Vの育成に適した育成環境を形成しながらも、水位の調整にかかる時間を短くする。【解決手段】養液が間欠的に供給される植物育成槽10と、前記植物育成槽内10に敷かれた培地40と、前記養液の供給に伴って前記植物育成槽10内の水位が上がり、前記培地40が前記養液に浸ると、その後、前記養液を排出して前記水位を下げる水位調整機構30とを具備し、前記培地40が、一部に開口を有し、その開口を介して前記養液が内部空間に出入り可能に構成されている多数の中空体41から形成されているようにした。【選択図】図3
