PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge device which is user friendly and clean while improving reliability.SOLUTION: A droplet discharge device comprises: a carriage mounted with a droplet discharge head for discharging droplets onto a recording medium; a carriage movement mechanism for moving the carriage in a reciprocating manner in a direction intersecting with a direction in which the recording medium is transported; and an outer case 20 having an opening/closing cover 60 for opening a part of a movement region of the carriage. The opening/closing cover 60 includes: a first cover 62 rotating about an engagement portion with the outer case 20 as a first rotating axis 64; and a second cover 63 mounted onto the first cover 62 in a rotatable manner.
