SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NETWORK EQUIPMENT RETRIEVAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network equipment retrieval system enabling a user to retrieve equipment without intervention of an administrator, at retrieval timing desired by a user and with an expectable quick response.SOLUTION: The network equipment retrieval system includes: means (for example, a matching unit) for collating retrieval target equipment information (for example, a MAC address) from the user side with the connection log information (for example, a MACX address) of a DHCP server; means for granting, when there is consistent information, DHCP address range information (location, user name, etc.) to the consistent information; and means for communicating to the user side the consistent information with the granted DHCP address. 【課題】ユーザ自身が、管理者を通さなくても機器検索が行え、ユーザの検索したいタイミングでの検索や早いレスポンスが期待できるネットワーク機器検索システムを提供する。【解決手段】ユーザ側からの検索対象機器情報（例えば、ＭＡＣアドレス）とＤＨＣＰサーバの接続ログ情報（例えば、ＭＡＣＸアドレス）とを照合する手段（例えば、マッチング部）、一致する情報がある場合、当該一致する情報にＤＨＣＰアドレスレンジ情報（場所や使用者名など）を付与する手段、当該ＤＨＣＰアドレスを付与した一致する情報をユーザ側に連絡する手段、を有する。【選択図】図１
