Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the diameter of an actual cheese winding package correctly and continuously.SOLUTION: A package drive roller 9 is periodically switched on and off, and during an inertial rotation stage in which the package drive roller 9 is not driven, the rotation number of the package drive roller 9 and the rotation number of a cheese winding package 5 are detected. Based on both of the rotation numbers, a ratio is calculated, and finally, an actual cheese winding package diameter is calculated. 【課題】実際の綾巻きパッケージ直径の正確なかつ連続的な検出が可能となるようにする。【解決手段】パッケージ駆動ローラ９を周期的にスイッチオン・オフし、該パッケージ駆動ローラ９が駆動されない惰性回転段階中、パッケージ駆動ローラ９の回転数と綾巻きパッケージ５の回転数とを検出し、両回転数から、比および、最終的には、実際の綾巻きパッケージ直径を算出する。【選択図】図２
