Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion chamber structure of a 2-valve internal combustion engine where knocking is prevented in the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine, there are an intake valve port (42) and an exhaust valve port (43) opened on a ceiling plane (50) of a cylinder head (17) each which is positioned opposite each other about a cylinder axis (C) being a central axis of a cylinder bore (16b) with the ports facing a combustion chamber (40). In a combustion chamber structure of the internal combustion engine, the inside of a piston-side squish surface (62) formed along the outer peripheral edge of the top face (60t) is shaped concavely to form a piston-side recess (61) on a top face (60t) of a piston (60), and the piston-side recess (61) is shaped into an elliptical shape to substantially surround a bevel part (46p) of an intake valve (46) and a bevel part (47p) of an exhaust valve (47) on the major-axis-direction both sides in a cylinder-axial-direction view. 【課題】2バルブ内燃機関においてノッキングの発生を防止した内燃機関の燃焼室構造を供する。【解決手段】シリンダヘッド(17)には前記天井面(50)にシリンダボア(16b)の中心軸であるシリンダ軸(C)に関して互いに反対位置に1つずつ吸気弁口(42)と排気弁口(43)が燃焼室(40)に臨んで開口される内燃機関において、ピストン(60)の頂面(60t)は、同頂面(60t)の外周縁に沿って形成されたピストン側スキッシュ面(62)の内側が凹出してピストン側凹部(61)が形成され、ピストン側凹部(61)は、シリンダ軸線方向視で吸気弁(46)の傘部(46p)と排気弁(47)の傘部(47p)を長径方向両側に略囲む楕円状に形成される内燃機関の燃焼室構造。【選択図】図6
