Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of preventing oxidation of a mold while eliminating heating unevenness when heating glass and uniformly heating the glass, and preventing occurrence of defective molding by mixing inert gas or the like when pressing a glass material.SOLUTION: A glass molding apparatus 1 which is molded by pressing a mold assembly 9 in which a glass material is placed between an upper die 3 and a lower die 5 has: a mold assembly heating and cooling chamber 17 in which a mold assembly heating zone 21 for heating the mold assembly 9, a mold assembly standby zone 23 which is adjacent to the mold assembly heating zone 21 and where the mold assembly 9 is made standby, and a mold assembly cooling zone 25 which is adjacent to the mold assembly standby zone 23 and cools down the pressed mold assembly 9 are provided; and a vacuum molding chamber 19 which is provided adjacent to the mold assembly standby zone 23 and in which pressing of the mold assembly 9 that is standby in the mold assembly standby zone 23 is performed in a vacuum environment. 【課題】金型の酸化を防ぎつつガラスを加熱するときの加熱ムラを無くして均一に加熱することができるとともに、ガラス素材をプレスするときに不活性ガス等が混入することで成形不良が発生することを防止する方法を提供する。【解決手段】上金型3と下金型5との間にガラス素材を設置してある金型組9をプレスすることによって成形するガラス成形装置1において、金型組9を加熱する金型組加熱ゾーン21と、金型組加熱ゾーン21に隣接し金型組9を待機させる金型組待機ゾーン23と、金型組待機ゾーン23に隣接しプレスがされた金型組9を冷却する金型組冷却ゾーン25とが内部に設けられている金型組加熱・冷却室17と、金型組待機ゾーン23に隣接して設けられ金型組待機ゾーン23で待機している金型組9のプレスを真空環境内でするための真空成形室19とを有するガラス成形装置1である。【選択図】図1
