Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous coverage robot having a rectangular front part that can move in such a manner that a cleaning mechanism reaches a corner part of a wall or an edge of a wall so that the rectangular part contacts the corner part of the wall or the edge of the wall.SOLUTION: An autonomous coverage robot includes: a robot body having a front part that shows a substantially rectangular contour; a driving system that is held by the robot body and is configured so as to move the robot on a cleaning surface; a cleaning part mounted on the front part of the robot body; a dust container that is disposed adjacent to the cleaning part and is configured so as to receive the dust stirred by the cleaning part; a lid of the dust container detachably connected to the robot body so as to rotate between a first closed position and a second open position; a grip disposed in the upper part of the robot body; and means for releasing the lid of the dust container that is disposed substantially in the vicinity of the grip and is configured so as to releasably fix the lid of the dust container in the first closed position.
