Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection system light emitting device having no incident angle dependency, having a reflection layer structure with high reflectance and thereby, capable of achieving high luminance.SOLUTION: In a light emitting device, a total reflection film 6 made of a material having a refractive index lower than a refractive index of a material constituting a phosphor layer 2 is provided between a light emission side of the phosphor layer 2 and a reflective layer 4 provide on the opposite side. It is preferable that a reflection enhancing film 5 made of an optical multilayer film is provided between the reflective layer 4 and the total reflection film 6. The total reflection film 6, the reflection enhancing film 5 and the reflective layer 4 can be formed on the surface of the phosphor layer 2 sequentially. Out of the light emitted by the phosphor layer 2, the light made incident to the total reflection film 6 by an angle equal to or more than a critical angle is totally reflected. Thereby, reflectance of the reflective layer 4, the reflection enhancing film 5 and the total reflection film 6 as a whole can be improved.
【課題】入射角依存性がなく高反射率の反射層構造を持ち、これにより高い輝度を達成できる反射方式の発光装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の発光装置は、蛍光体層2の光出射側と反対側に設けられる反射層4との間に、蛍光体層2を構成する材料の屈折率よりも屈折率の低い材料から成る全反射膜6を設ける。好ましくは反射層4と全反射膜6との間に、光学多層膜からなる増反射膜5を設ける。全反射膜6、増反射膜5及び反射層4は、蛍光体層2の表面に順次成膜することに形成することができる。蛍光体層2が発する光のうち、全反射膜6に臨界角以上の角度で入射される光は全反射される。これにより反射層4、増反射膜5及び全反射膜6全体としての反射率を向上することができる。【選択図】図1 |
