PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer suitable for printing on a side surface of a box with high accuracy.SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes: a machine body; an inkjet head supported in a machine body side; a holding body supported in the machine body side; a work support body in which a rear part is connected to the holding body, and a plurality of work holding parts for placing a flat surface of a work are arranged in a front projection part so as to be elevated and lowered; and a height adjusting member which is supported above the work support body in the machine body side so as to be elevated and lowered, and in which a reference plane for defining the height of a printing surface of the work is formed in a lower surface. Printing on the work is performed by: placing the work on the work holding part of the work support body; pressing the work to the reference plane of the height adjusting member by elevating the work holding part to hold the work at the pressed position; moving the height adjusting member upward after pressing the work to the reference plane; moving the holding body relatively to the inkjet head in the back and forth direction of the machine body; and discharging an ink from the inkjet head on the work held by the holding part of the work support body. 【課題】 箱の側面に高精度に印刷を行うのに適したインクジェットプリンタを提供する。【解決手段】機体と、機体側に支持されたインクジェットヘッドと、機体側に支持された保持体と、該保持体に後部が連結し、前方突出部分にワークの平面を載置する複数のワーク保持部が昇降可能に設けられたワーク支持体と、機体側に前記ワーク支持体の上方に位置して昇降可能に支持され、下面にワークの印刷面の高さを規定する基準面が形成された高さ調整部材とを備えている。ワーク支持体のワーク保持部にワークを載置し、該ワーク保持部を上昇させてワークを高さ調整部材の基準面に圧着して該圧着位置にワークを保持するようにし、ワークを前記基準面に圧着後、高さ調整部材を上方に移動し、インクジェットヘッドに対して保持体を機体の前後方向に相対移動させ、ワーク支持体の保持部に保持したワークにインクジェットヘッドからインクを吐出してワークに印刷を行う。【選択図】 図１
