TRANSPORTATION METHOD AND TRANSPORTATION DEVICE FOR SHEET GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet glass transportation method and device at the time when a sheet glass molded into a long belt-like shape is cut (or split) while being transported in a longitudinal direction, in which said sheet glass can be stably cut (or broken) to improve the quality of the sheet glass cut (or broken).SOLUTION: A method for transporting a sheet glass 100 molded into a long belt-like shape in the longitudinal direction, comprises an arch step to be executed in a first arch zone 13 (or a second arch zone 16) while an intermediate part in the transfer direction of the sheet glass 100 at a predetermined position on the transfer direction of the sheet glass 100 is being deformed into and held in an arch shape curved upward in the longitudinal direction. 【課題】長尺の帯状に成形された薄板ガラスを長手方向に搬送しながら切断（割断）する際の、薄板ガラスの搬送方法および搬送装置であって、該薄板ガラスを安定的に切断（割断）することが可能であり、切断（割断）後の薄板ガラスの品質向上を図ることが可能な、薄板ガラスの搬送方法および搬送装置を提供する。【解決手段】長尺の帯状に成形された薄板ガラス１００を長手方向に搬送する、薄板ガラス１００の搬送方法であって、薄板ガラス１００の搬送経路上の所定位置において、薄板ガラス１００の搬送方向における途中部を、長手方向に沿って上方に湾曲するアーチ形状に変形および保持しながら搬送する、第一アーチゾーン１３（または、第二アーチゾーン１６）にて実施されるアーチ工程を備える。【選択図】図１
