PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which determines whether to continue operating motion according to the time when a power failure has occurred, the details of operation at that time, and the time that has elapsed before the restoration of power.SOLUTION: When a power failure occurs, power failure detection means 17 detects the power failure, and the date and time of the occurrence of the power failure and the operating motion state of a washing machine are stored in storage means 18. When the power failure detection means 17 detects the restoration of power, the contents of the storage means are read out. The data thereof is compared with a prescribed time, and it is determined whether to continue the operating motion, so that a user can resume operation without performing particular manipulation and can acquire the state of the power failure and elapsed time even when the operation cannot be resumed to be continued. 【課題】停電が発生した時刻、そのときの運転内容と、停電復帰までの経過時間よって運転動作継続の可否を判定する洗濯機を提供すること。【解決手段】停電が発生すると、停電検知手段１７が停電を検出し、停電発生日時、洗濯機の運転動作状況を記憶手段１８に記憶させ、停電検知手段１７が停電復帰を検知したときに、記憶手段の内容を読み出し、そのデータと所定時間とを比較し、運転動作継続の可否を判定することで、使用者は特別な操作をすることなく運転の再開ができ、運転が再開・継続ができないときにも停電状況・経過時間を把握することができる。【選択図】図２
