PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment instrument capable of easily expanding a covering material and expanding a large-size covering material, the treatment instrument to be used for attaching the covering material to an affected part in the body.SOLUTION: A treatment instrument 1 of the present invention includes a cylindrical body 2, a wire 3 retractably inserted into a hole 2a of the cylindrical body 2, and a rod material 6 connected to the tip end of the wire 3 and extending to the outside of the cylindrical body 2. A covering material H is disposed on facing side faces 60 and 61 of the rod material 6 such that, in a state where the wire 3 is retracted, the covering material H is bent along the tip end of the rod material 6, and the state where the covering material H is disposed on the side faces 60 and 61 of the rod material 6 is retained by an event that end portions Ha and Hb of the covering material H are clamped between the cylindrical body 2 and the rod material 6. When the wire 3 is made to advance, the rod material 6 advances along with the wire, so that the clamping of the end portions Ha and Hb of the covering material H is released. 【課題】体内の患部に被覆材を貼り付けるために使用される処置具であって、被覆材を容易に広げることができ、また、大きな寸法の被覆材を広げることが可能な処置具を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の処置具１は、筒体２と、筒体２の孔２ａに進退自在に挿通されるワイヤ３と、ワイヤ３の先端に接続されて、筒体２の外側に延びる棒材６とを備える。ワイヤ３が後退された状態では、被覆材Ｈが棒材６の先端に沿って屈曲するように、被覆材Ｈが棒材６の相対する側面６０，６１上に配置されるとともに、被覆材Ｈの端部Ｈａ，Ｈｂが筒体２と棒材６との間に挟み込まれることで、被覆材Ｈが棒材２の側面６０，６１上に配置された状態が維持される。そして、ワイヤ３を前進させた場合には、棒材６がワイヤ３と共に前進することで、被覆材Ｈの端部Ｈａ，Ｈｂの挟み込みが解除される。【選択図】図３
