Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique effective to reduce energy consumption at an electric hydraulic pressure generation source for supplying a hydraulic fluid in a vehicular hydraulic pressure brake apparatus.SOLUTION: A brake ECU 50 executes: a brake operation start control mode, when a braking operation of a brake pedal 10 is started, for outputting a closure instruction signal to a third control valve V6 until a given changeover condition is established in the state of both first and second control valves V1, V2 being open, and variably controlling a degree of opening of a fourth control valve V7 on the basis of hydraulic pressure of a drive fluid chamber C2; and switching from the brake operation start control mode to a normal control mode, when a given switchover condition is established, for variably controlling a degree of opening of a third control valve V6 on the basis of hydraulic pressure of a reactive force fluid chamber C1 in the state of both the first and second control valves V1, V2 being open, and variably controlling a degree of opening of the fourth control valve V7 on the basis of hydraulic pressure of the drive fluid chamber C2. 【課題】車両用液圧ブレーキ装置において、作動液を供給するための電動式液圧源での消費エネルギーの低減を図るのに有効な技術を提供する。【解決手段】ブレーキECU50は、ブレーキペダル10のブレーキ操作開始時に、第1制御弁V1及び第2制御弁V2を開放した状態で所定の切り替え条件が成立するまで第3制御弁V6に閉止指示信号を出力し、且つ駆動液室C2の液圧に基づいて第4制御弁V7の弁開度を可変制御するブレーキ操作開始時制御モードを実行し、所定の切り替え条件が成立したときに、ブレーキ操作開始時制御モードから、第1制御弁V1及び第2制御弁V2を開放した状態で反力液室C1の液圧に基づいて第3制御弁V6の弁開度を可変制御し、且つ駆動液室C2の液圧に基づいて第4制御弁V7の弁開度を可変制御する通常制御モードに切り替える。【選択図】図1
